Offkey Vacay to Mangalore

Mangalore is a port city in Karnataka. It's not really known for tourism. I had couple of friends who were native to Mangalore and upon their advice I decided to visit the place over a weekend. Spoiler: It was totally worth it!

Arriving Mangalore? Mangalore is well connected by trains, buses and it also has its airport. As I live closer to Mangalore, I chose bus - It is an overnight journey, apx 8 hrs.

Mangalore - Safe and calm city, quiet beaches, clear water and white sand.

Majority of beaches we visited, irrespective of the time, we were the only one there - private beach vibe.

Mangalore have beautiful beaches across a stretch of 20kms. Notable mentions: Panambur Beach, Suratkal Beach and Sasihitlu Beach. Light house and white sand create a picturesque, making it a perfect weekend getaway.

As a city its pretty much enabled, hence we dont have any issue of cash, internet or necessities. In terms of cusine Mangalorean fish curry is worldwide favourite.

Its certainly a must visit and as a cherry on top one can club it with Udupi to make it a worthwhile retreat.
